The servers clearly knew more than I did about the food, but they didn't act haughty at all about it and was very friendly when I had questions (perhaps even some stupid questions) about their dishes. They even managed to chat with me in a non-obtrusive way and made me feel very comfortable at the restaurant. I've never experienced something like this in Hong Kong yet, even in the high-end restaurants.Rachellehttp://rachellesramblings.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789596779201018509.post-51615161802264092912011-05-06T12:30:40.661-07:002011-05-06T12:30:40.661-07:00@ Rachelle, I don't normally complain about se...@ Rachelle, I don't normally complain about service at all, because to be honest I couldn't care less as long as they are not rude or try to over-ride the customers! But this time it really was appalling!

I agree the food here is pretty solid. Last time I wrote a review on Openrice, i gave here an OK-4 rating, because there were no surprises but equally no bad representations, other than some overly salted dishes! Anyway I hope that the Particular Staff knows how not to treat customers from now on : )Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15951478222064972637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789596779201018509.post-34612280503369178832011-05-06T06:20:44.042-07:002011-05-06T06:20:44.042-07:00L'Atelier has been called gourmet fast food re...L'Atelier has been called gourmet fast food restaurant...has it not? Seems like the waiter thinks he's working at a fast food store. I think L'Atelier is something safe...you know you'll get something presentable and within a certain standard. The tartine dish does look like it'd be awesome!Rachellehttp://rachellesramblings.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
