This Indian Restaurant is found in a Cooked Food Centre in North Point. The owner brothers have apparently worked and trained in Nepal, cooked in a classy Indian Restaurant (at Hong Kong Peak Restaurant), before opening their own Indian stall in this Electric Road Cooked Food Market.
A proper Tandoor is installed in place..
Kingfisher Beer works best with spiced food..
Pappadom with mint yoghurt as starter -
A little uncrisp and underbaked ~
4/10
Samosa -
Nearly no fillings in this version, the skin wrap is also surprisingly of the
Westernised version ~ 5/10
More Minty Yoghurt for dipping Samosa and with Tandoori Chicken..
Tandoori Chicken -
This was under-marinated, and stringy dry.
Almost tasteless. Quite a bit disappointed! ~
4/10
Chicken Kadai -
This was more about onion than enough tomatoes in the recipe,
I was also surprised how weak this tasted. Not bad overall ~ 6.5/10
Garlic Naan -
This was so powdery, dry and not leavened enough. The Garlic mince was dry and bland,
this is probably one of the worst Naan bread I’ve ever eaten, its virtually life-less ~
2/10
Aloo Gobi -
Potato and Cauliflower was served in a proper copper pot, this was the saving grace of the night, or I should say 2 nights as this review was from 2 separate visits ~ 8/10
Lachha Paratha -
This flat bread was ok, but a bit bland and slightly dry.
But at least better than the Garlic Naan above ! ~ 6/10
Lamb Biriyani -
This dish was surprisingly spelt in the Kerala Indian way on the menu. The lamb was ok,
there’s a strong cardamom taste in the rice, but not much saffron aroma.
Rice was also a little too wet for a Biriyani/Biryani ~
6.5/10
Another round of Chinese beer with Indian food.
