2am Dessert has been on my agenda for a long time ever since reading about it from afar. Found in Holland Village, a popular night area apparently, these days they also do a light Tapas style menu. So if you don’t have a sweet tooth at all, you could still accompany your friends and arrive here to sip on some drinks or nibble on the savoury tapas offerings.
Found upstairs -
It’s not in a very prominent location of Holland Village..
Lapsang Souchong Tea -
A nicely smoky tea from Fujian,
which I thought might be an interesting pairing with the 1st dessert.
“Purple” – SGD $18
Purple potato puree is pair with a blackberry parfait, which surprisingly had a half frozen yet bouncy texture, interesting. This is adorned with Lavender Marshmallows and Fruits of the Forest Sorbet. And Fruity leather strip on top. A lovely dessert. ~ 8/10
Basil White Chocolate - SGD $17
A basil infused white chocolate mousse is topped with passionfruit pastilles and a dehydrated Puree skin. On the side, Seagrapes and Passionfruit Meringue fluffs and comes with a Coconut Sorbet to complete the picture. The few different textures and herbed flavours made this a dessert which at least tried to cover everything in one dish. Pretty good ~ 8/10
Dehydrator and PJ Ice Cream Machines, Chocolate Melters -
This evening dessert shop is an interesting concept, and although most desserts are assembled and a bit avant garde, I think it does somehow worked. Probably not as sophisticated as I had hoped for, but it was definitely still decent.

i love lapsang souchong too but my mom find it a bit too smoky for her.
ReplyDeleteI am also not a big supporter for Lapsang Souchong as a drink by itself! I am just playing around with it sometimes I guess. Like I just made 3 Siphoned coffees lol. The last 1 failed miserably haha :D
