It is great news for Chocolate Lovers in Hong Kong, as Harbour City has once more organized an International Chocolate Trail event leading up to both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year 2013. The imported brands in this event has expanded and there are some very lovely chocolates we tried. You know where to go to shop for chocolates in February! Below are some of the best ones I tried and highly recommend too!

Chapon from France -
Smoked Salt Praline domes were simply amazing ! It is smoky, salty and nutty.
A must buy before they run out!
Kapok Stall -
Kapok imports a few cross over chocolates from France all the way to Central-South America by an ex FBI Agent! The Curry Coconut blocks are made in Hong Kong but the curry flavour worked surprisingly well in this well tuned and not too sweet chocolate. Give it a shot if your friends like surprises!
Colourful Chocolates and Roses from Coppeneur, Germany -
Valentine’s Day easy choice to impress?
Thierry Mulhaupt, Paris -
A MUST VISIT! Salted Caramel Macarons are dipped in Chocolate, the caramel flavour was strong and macaron shells were fresh, everything worked well together! The Rose Cream Macaron was also strong in Rose flavour but a bit more chewier.
Beautiful Raspberry Kisses by Christophe Roussel -
These were filled with chocolate pearls as well, and a lovely combination of dark chocolate and fruity flavours with crunchy fillings. Also available are Lime and I believe Mango?
Christophe’s Saint Dominque 64% Chocolate Bar is GREAT -
It tasted quite dark for this cacao percentage, and there is a dark berries fruitiness behind it and a powdery chocolate finish. Smooth and not sweet, this famous Single Origin bar from this region is designed for chocolate connoisseur. I actually like it better than the recent Amedei Chuao vintages.
Hong Kong only Ferry Design by Christophe Roussel as well !
Chocolate Dining Room by Artist & Chocolatier Gerhard Petzl -
It’s so beautiful and took many months to prepare. His Austrian chocolates surprisingly contains a few new age flavours, including Ginger and Asian fruits.
Baruzzo from Italy, with many Tea infused Chocolates -
Apparently the tea loving ladies will love these beautifully printed chocolates? An idea!
Prestat from the UK -
This store was actually very good overall I liked all of their chocolates. This Roasted Almond, Sea Salt and Milk Chocolate was a good starting point..
Pink Champagne Truffles -
U know how most champagne or liquor chocolates taste nothing like what it says, well, this Champagne one was very girly and definitely has champagne inside the smooth shell! Lovely!
These different Truffles were also Amazing -
Dark Chocolate with Sea Salted Caramel especially (Light Blue Box)! The flavour was so intense. The shell is slightly harder for this variety. I am going to buy more of these!
VERO Chocolate is a local Artisanal Chocolate shop -
They placed a bigger emphasis on the Chinese New Year theme ! This Chocolate Fortune Cookie is such a novelty !
VERO’s Gold Fish and Kumquat Chocolates -
For fortune, for prosperity. Buy these for your family or your mother-in-law?
