Mini-Club has 2 different outlets. 1 shop is in Tsim Sha Tsui where I have been twice recently already, the other one is in Mongkok but I don’t exactly know where it is located as yet. Their promotional concept is that when you order either 2 Cocktails or a Bottle of Wine, you can get some Free food to go with it… Wines start from $398 + 10%, and having tried their Seafood Platter twice I would say it’s really a good bargain in town.
A Rioja Tempranillo from Spain – $538
Remembering that even if you order the cheaper wines here starting from $398, you can still receive some Food items below for Free…
Peanuts – $10 HKD
A compulsory snack, so typical HK style. Just to scam that extra $10 of you to pay for the staff wages… Well Otoshi in Japan is the same too to be fair.
Normandy and Gillardeau Oysters, both from Northern France - FREE
If you order a bottle of wine here like my 2 visits. ~ 8/10
Marinated Chicken Wings -
On 1 visit someone wanted some Wings. These were a bit too soft for me, but at least the marination and seasoning were spot-on enough and balanced. ~ 7/10
Fish & Chips -
Someone seemed hungry enough to have ordered this. The Chips were surprisingly fried to a perfect state, light crispy outside but not hard, still fluffy, even if these are bought commercial fries but at least they sprinkled some herbs on top. The Fried Fishes were not bad and for a barely $98 dollars, proportion-wise it was a bargain too! Thoughtful actually from both a Proprietor and Customer Pricing point of view… The Tartare sauce can do with more pickles however. ~ 7.5/10
The Piece de Resistance - FREE Seafood Platter
Half Lobsters, Half Bread Crab, some Mussels, Conches, Prawns, an Oyster. It is expected to be shared between two people. Have had this twice already and I think it isn’t skimping back on things… it’s all about balanced Profit Margins and I think they were ethical enough here and smart. ~ 7/10
A Bar Setting -
Where you can chat up some girls on the next table. Totally my thing
Trying to be Artistic inside here taking my photos …
I might have not succeeded but there’s no doubt this is ok classy in decoration. Just need more lighting to help basically.
This place after 2 visits, is recommendable for their pricing policy -
I mean, show me another place where you can order a $398 bottle of Wine and can get 4 French Oysters, or even better, a Full Seafood Platter with some Lobsters & Crab & Prawns & Mussels & Oyster & Whelks. I myself can’t think of another option!
