Grano Italiano is a new Pizza concept, where customers can get to choose how to customize their pizza toppings. It is around $148 for six toppings, albeit sauce is included in one of these. This is a review of my past two visits to here..
Located in i-Square -
It is next to the cinema and has high potential as a business concept.
You can also do Take-Away boxes -
Although I personally think the crowd surrounding here aren’t too into it. They have Pizza Express nearby already
Customizable Toppings Trays -
I LOVE this concept. But call me keen eyed, I don’t understand why there are chopped sausages and also Mozzarella cheese which aren’t the ones you find in Rome and Naples. The other cheeses available fared much better, especially the Smoked cheese.
Demonstrating the Fermented Dough using the best of Italian Wheats -
Pizza with Chili Salami, Olives and Cheeses -
This is so American pizza in a way, but surprisingly got the most knods. ~ 7.5/10
Parma Ham, Mushrooms, Basil, 2 Cheeses -
This was virtually just my own pick on a second visit. The base dough actually became better and more crusty burnt tasty, with better wheat taste. The recipe is hovering between a Rome and Napoletan pizza base. At least it is customizable on the spot which is a rare treat ~ 8/10
Soft Drinks -
Now no longer included in the Meal Set at $148.
An Interesting Pizza -
We wanted some Semi-dried tomatoes, more Mushrooms, some different more Aged Cheeses, Rucola leaves this time. I think the pizzas here are better than my 1st visit. The toppings are interesting and the price is decent, but the only comment I can make is that they need to improve their Mozzarella cheeses - not everyone can’t distinguish between artisanal Mozzarella versus Commercial Grade ones. They taste totally different..

WOW! Pizza customization is a very brilliant idea. I would probably make an amazing one for my self. BTW, is it open daily?
