Yagura - Japanese Crab Dinner, as a Set Dinner for $648 a Diner

Last Year we also came too to Yagura under Eaton Hotel,  under the Langham Hotel Group.  Back then it was also for a Crab Dinner.  This time around we were invited over here to try-out the new Japanese Kegani Hairy Crab Course at $648 Per Person.

Sea Urchin & Crab Meat Salad -
The Urchin and Crab Meat were fresh,  but the base seaweed based salad was too Vinegary for me ..  ~  6.5/10

Scallops,  Red Aka-Ebi Prawns,  also Salmon -
Served on ice.   I liked the Scallops the most.  The Red Prawn head and meat could be fresher for me,  unfortunately I am sort of too sensitive to Aka-Ebi from Argentina and although eating them there might be great and mesmerizing,  by the time of processing it overseas and defrosting,  and arriving back to Asia this was a bit mealy.   ~ 7/10

Good bargain indeed.  And nice Marketing ploy.

Kegani Crab Course -
With Rice Zosui.   Last year we had more Crab Tomalley and Crab Roe,  but apparently this year it was more on short notice to prepare.  But we still enjoyed it.   ~ 7/10

US Angus Beef for Nabe Mono -
This we didn’t expect much,  but actually it was quite strong in meaty taste.  If I can just have 1 more slice.

Zosui with Egg Yolk with Crab Meat, also a smidgeon of Rice Sake -
Hope we we managed to achieve this..  ~ 8/10   Somehow think this year the egg and egg white were mixed too much earlier.  It all makes a difference in the end.

Yaki Mochi with Cheese -
It was convincing good,  and that summarizes just as our Last Visit.

Some Panacotta and Matcha Ice Cream to finish -
It’s sort of expected from a Japanese restaurant.  I always think sometimes,  desserts are expected in Japanese cuisine,  but not much effort is put into it to accomplish a perfect meal.  It’s like an after thought somehow.  I don’t expect others to know what I am saying..
